All donations over £500 given to candidates and political parties are governed by the Political Parties Elections and Referendums Act 2000. During a regulated period: - Individual donors giving more than £500 must be on a UK electoral register (we will check before accepting a donation).  - UK unincorporated associations, UK companies, Limited Liability Partnerships and Trade Unions may also make donations to the Labour Party. - For donors giving more than £1,500 to a Constituency Labour Party or Candidate, or more than £7,500 to the national Labour Party, in a calendar year either as individual payments or for the total of multiple donations, their name and the value of the donation will be sent to the Electoral Commission which will publish details on its website. The donor’s address will not be made public. - Donations must be from the donor’s own funds and may not be passed on from a third party. It is an offence not to reveal the true source of a donation. - Donations to political parties are not tax-deductible.​ - Separately, if elected as an MP I will be required by the House of Commons Code of Conduct to fill in a register of my financial interests backdated 12 months including donations to my campaign above £1,500, either as an individual payment or for the total of multiple donations in that time. This will list the name of the donating entity and how much they donated, and it will be published.  If you choose to donate to me as a candidate directly using this donate page, rather than to the Labour Party, then such donations are not currently regulated. Donations given directly to me as a candidate during the regulated period will be reportable.
