My Contact Policy:

My office receives over a thousand emails a week and each is read and carefully noted. They are actioned as follows:

Constituents seeking my help

I always prioritise residents above all else, and my team aim to respond within 10 working days. Please check your email includes all the following details so we can act quickly:

Your full name

Your full home address including postcode

A contact phone number

A brief summary of your issue

Have you contacted Plymouth City Council? For local issues we may be unable to help unless you have followed council procedures. Examples include potholes, traffic issues, fly tipping and waste services.

Constituents asking my views on policy and legislation

Please confirm you are a constituent by including your full name and address. Your emails are read and your views carefully noted. I have a small team, focussed on helping residents with issues, which is my priority, and I will provide a response when the casework allows. Thank you for your understanding.

Autogenerated campaign emails and petitions

I receive a great number of petitions, links, briefings, opinions, and requests to attend Parliamentary debates or drop ins. Your email may not receive a response, but I am extremely grateful you have shared your views with me, they are carefully read and noted.

Courtesy policy: While I welcome robust debate, e-mails which fall short of standard courtesy may not receive a response from me, and may be treated as harassment.
