About Fred

DSC_1071.jpg

I left the Royal Marines to stand up and serve our city.

I am really proud to live in Plymouth. My home is in the Beacon Park area, I play football every week near Home Park, and being given the chance to represent my community in Parliament is the honour of my life.

I joined the Royal Marines after graduating from university because I am a true patriot. I love England, I love the United Kingdom, and I love Plymouth.

But I know that our country and our city can be even better, and I believe that positive change is possible.

We can get our NHS back on its feet, we can grow our local economy, and we can bring the cost of living down.

In Parliament

I am proud to serve on the House of Commons Defence Committee. We hold regular evidence sessions to scrutinise Defence Ministers, alongside different inquiries on topics such as Defence in the High North.

I have also been working with colleagues and Ministers on social media restrictions for under 16s, designed to protect young people's mental health.

My work in Parliament is informed by Plymouth and I do my best to represent your concerns there. It is a privilege to speak up for Plymouth in debates and in conversations with Government.
